From 1999-2014, she was head theatre pedagogue at the Schaub\u00fchne Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2014, Uta Plate has been working internationally as a freelance producer and lecturer. Her focal areas are: citizens\u2019 theatre projects, documentary international research, inter-generative projects (particularly with refugees and locals) and drama activities with socially marginalised groups (particularly in the penal system).<\/p>\n<p>She was involved in participatory film activities with Aaike Stuart: \u2018Wir sind GESTERN HEUTE MORGEN\u2019 (we are yesterday \u2013 today \u2013 tomorrow), \u2018FERNE GEF\u00c4HRTEN\u2019 (distant companions).<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Uta Plate founded the HIATUS collective with musicians Duri Collenberg and Lukas Rickli, with whom she develops audio-video walks for the Bremen Opera and the \u2018Musiktheater im Revier\u2019 (Music Theatre in the Ruhr \u2013 MiR), Gelsenkirchen.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, she teaches at universities in Berlin, Gie\u00dfen, Hildesheim, Hanover, Copenhagen (Denmark) and Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso).<\/p>\n<p>Publications (with Wiebke von Bernstorff): \u2018Fremd bleiben \u2013 interkulturelle Theaterarbeit\u2019 (staying a stranger \u2013 intercultural drama activities\u2019).<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Uta Plate is a theatre-maker, lecturer and producer.
