Birgit Mandel<\/strong> (b. 1963) is professor of cultural education and cultural management and director of the Institute for Cultural Policy at the University of Hildesheim; she is director of the Master\u2019s Program in Cultural Education. She is vice president of the Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft, an advisory board member of the Commerzbank Stiftung, for whom she developed the ZukunftsGut Award for institutional cultural education, as well as a supervisory board member of the Berlin Kulturprojekte GmbH. She has conducted a variety of research projects at the intersection of cultural education, audience development and cultural policy.

Carolin Kn\u00fcpper<\/strong> lives and works in Brunswick. As a freelance art mediator, she stages art-mediating projects with a wide range of institutions and establishments in the Brunswick region. Here, her focus is on communicating contemporary art, in the context of which she develops experimental formats combining elements of community building and collaborative learning. As an academic assistant at the University of Hildesheim, she also supports the certificate course \u201cArtistic Interventions in Cultural Education\u201d in coordinating projects.<\/p>\n

Rosalie Schneega\u00df <\/strong>studied cultural mediation and literature and works as a research assistant at the University of Hildesheim. For the University\u2019s Center for Digital Change, she is doing research on collaborative text work, and for its Institute for Cultural Policy, she is dealing with the symposia in July and November as well as the project\u2019s public relations activities.<\/p>\n

Sarah Wiesenthal <\/strong>studied Romance languages and literature as well as communications science. She has worked for various publishing houses and also as a literature reviewer. She most recently worked for the B\u00f6rsenvereins des Deutschen Buchhandels e.V. (registered association of the German book trade). She is currently participating in the project Artistic Interventions in Cultural Education<\/em>, where she engages in public relations activities and in organising events.<\/p>\n

Marit Tote<\/strong> did a Bachelor\u2019s programme in cultural anthropology \/ European ethnology and economic and social history at the University of G\u00f6ttingen. She obtained her Master\u2019s degree in cultural management at the University of Music FRANZ LISZT in Weimar. Since January 2021, she has been working for the certificate course at the Federal Academy Wolfenb\u00fcttel.<\/p>\n

Sarah Ben Bornia<\/strong> has been a member of the project team since April. For two years, she worked at Koblenz Theatre as an assistant in the theatre pedagogics department. Since 2019, she has been studying scenic arts in Hildesheim, doing a major in drama. In addition to her studies, she works as a freelance editor and producer for cultural projects in the Hildesheim region. In the certificate course, her chief responsibility is social media and research.<\/p>\n

Saskia Mariola Hornig<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saskia Mariola Hornig<\/strong> is an activist drama and civilisation studies scholar who has been supporting the certificate course \u201cArtistic Interventions in Cultural Education\u201d as a project assistant since April 2021. In 2020, she completed her Bachelor studies in drama and comparative literature at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Since 2021, she has been studying cultural mediation in a Master\u2019s programme with an artistic focus on theatre in the cultural domain of Hildesheim. Alongside her studies, she is active in drama and in self-organised political activist initiatives.<\/p>\n

Pia Wagner <\/strong>is a cultural worker (BA) and cultural mediator (MA). Since March 2020, she has been working as an academic assistant at the University of Hildesheim\u2019s Department of Cultural Policy \u2013 initially in the field of international cooperation and collaboration and in teaching, and since early 2021 as Project Manager of the certificate course \u201cArtistic Interventions in Cultural Education\u201d. Prior to this, she had conducted various projects in Cultural Education \u2013 predominantly participatory formats in public spaces. In addition, she gained professional experience as a theatre pedagogue and art mediator and cultural manager and mediator in Germany and C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, also in cooperation with the Goethe Institut.<\/p>\n
